ABSENT

I have been absent. Not from you. Not from the world. I've been absent from myself.

Too many things have been going wrong.....my territory is tainted. Whenever I'm depressed, I simply withdraw. I become uncommunicative.

Why complain? Why write depressing updates? I wrote a final blog post entitled "Uncharted Waters".....but I never posted it.

Not yet.

Finality is not yet feasible.

Not yet.

I want to exist, but not in the confinement of this medical purgatory.

It's worse than hell, worse than.....

Am I making any sense?

(don't answer that)

I'm presently trying to make a video

(don't sneer)

There's a purpose. There's a purpose for everything I do. You'll see.

There will be another blog post.

Jon,  purgatorized

(the word is my invention)

Don't fret over the photo, hell I'm a thousand years old......and I sure feel like it......

Ok, I don't like the mustache, either

  1. Purgatorized is a good word, Jon, even if your invention. As for your being over 1,000 years old, I would not have put you a day over 500 😀 (smile, only a joke).

    1. I read your blog even though I don't always comment. I'm so sorry about the accident....and I'm furious about those kids on bikes.

  6. As sometimes happens, when the act of 'people-ing' becomes exhausting, I open the door to melancholy and (try to) shut out the world. I'm so sorry you're unable to do that right now. Let it be.
Your video-with-a-purpose has me enormously intrigued.

    1. The act of peopleing has always annoyed me. I can't escape them now. My "private" room is open 24/7.
Truth to tell, very few of my videos have a purpose 😸 This one will be rather unique....and utilizing personal photos.

  7. Your blue eyes are striking! Mine have grown much paler as I have aged.
Looking forward to your video. :)

    1. My reply to your comment completely disappeared!!!
My eyes seemed to get bluer with age. My father had blue eyes, my mom's were grey.
My video-making software is at home. I'll have to find something new on my tablet or phone. Yuk!

    1. I'm hoping for some good food - - but it's always a gamble here. I pray the GOOD cook works on holidays 😸
Thanks, Jo - - and enjoy the 4th!

  9. Jon,
My first impulse is to say "I cannot imagine the medical purgatory you're in" but oh I can. One of my fears now is that should I have a stroke or some other medical event that would immobilize me, I could easily end up where you are now. I do hope that in the near future you can be able to return to your home in those pristine Tennessee hills where you found so much peace and tranquility. Of course first you will have to deal with all those critters who probably have been living in your house since you departed. Do you still have your house? Is your cousin looking after it? I hope so. Try to snatch those moments in your present situation that give you solace and happiness.

    1. Thanks for your comment and encouragement, Ron - - it means a lot. There is a woman named Sheila who works in the office here. She lives in the area where my house is. She has been checking my house and getting my mail. It's a great relief.
      Take care - - hugs.

I love comments. Go ahead and leave one - I won't bite. But make sure you have a rabies shot just in case.
