ESCAPING INTO AUTUMN

The photo of the blood soaked towel on my previous post was admittedly disgusting. I just wanted to show what I've been going through - - for a long time.

I've got to extract myself from this never-ending nightmare before it's too late.

Fact can be much more frightening than fiction.....and I'm in the ugly midst of it.

As my inevitable means of internal escape, I'm offering more of my recent autumnal creations.......that is, what I imagine autumn could be.

Nothing extraordinary. Just simple things......

Tame the sweet forest

Potential jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin pie

The persistence of time

Waiting for a special midnight visitor

Secret of the Crows

Siesta with the leaves

Impromptu Incident with the Geese

Gathering Place of the Spirits

Ghost Stories

Solitude with the Poet

The Long Way Home

The Owl's Watch

Afternoon in Stitches

Curious Encounter (above)

Since Sandi disliked my initial children with wagon and pumpkins, I'll try another.
???????????????

Well, that's a glimpse into my autumnal imagination.....which is somewhat limited

  2. The kids with the cart of pumpkins make me uneasy. What is it that makes them creepy? The eyes, the faces, smiles, can't quite tell.

    1. I'm truly stunned to know that the picture spooked you! I've added one more try at the end of this post. If it irks you.....I give up!

    2. Smiles? I don't see any smiles on their faces.....

    3. Ah. You are right. No smiles.

      I think it's the stares.

In the last photo that you just added it's the girl second from the left-- her stare.

  3. I'm glad you can escape briefly into these fantasies! It's a great idea, considering your current reality.

  4. I hope you will keep creating these pictures. They are so nostalgic and beautiful! Your insistence on persistence is amazing, too.

  5. I can't say so here, but that image of the crow atop the lantern gave me a case of the giggles. My favorites are a "Gathering Place" and "Ghost Stories." Well done!

    1. The crow is sitting on an hour glass - - contemplating the passing of time. I like Gathering and Ghost Stories, too - - I did several similar pictures.

  6. I really enjoyed your creations. Anything with dogs, cats and even crows are right up my alley. Of course, spooky houses work, too! Those boys ain't too bad, either (smile). The leaves are turning here in Ohio and lots of pumpkins sitting on porches. My favorite time of year. Bring the witches on!

    1. I like the cats and crows, pumpkins, and spooky stuff in the forest....I made numerous "lavender boys" pictures that are really good - but didn't want to "offend" anyone (which is easy to do).....so I used the non-offensive ones.
I'll have to conjure up some witches and other spooky Halloween things.
      Thanks, John!

  7. Jon,
Autumn colors, so beautiful and peaceful. AI is wonderful that you can create these images. Have you seen the new AI feature that brings old photographs to life via video. Probably very expensive, that software. I would like to try it but I'll have to wait until those prices come down. I hope I see the day when you can take actual photos from your house in those Tennessee mountains where. your home is. The peak fall season isn't here yet. Hopefully the people taking care of. you now know that the best medicine for you is to let you go home.

    1. I have actually made some videos from photos by AI. They are only six second videos and are very expensive. Some day I'll post them.
I want to return home as soon as possible. I don't want to miss autumn in the forest!
      Thanks, Ron.

  8. I am late. You have been busy and I like these. I can see why the children might be creepy to some. They don't look real--like dolls--somber dolls. And there are many creepy dolls in the movies--lol! But they didn't bother me as doll-like. :)

  9. Your Autumnal Imagination is Beautiful. This is my favorite time of Year and it's got so much of a draw for me personally that I look forward to it every Year. The Veil is thin now too. I hope your Medical Issues don't prevent you from having some enjoyment of the Season.

I love comments. Go ahead and leave one - I won't bite. But make sure you have a rabies shot just in case.
