It seems more than full speed - - like an out of control jet, heading to crash into a mountain.
Yesterday and today (Thursday) I was immersed in nogotiations with Hospice and Signature. Hospice was merciful. The Dragon Lady of Signature was at my bedside.
Questions, suppositions, demands, making mega complications out of miniscule things.
It was a combination of the Spanish Inquisition and the Salem Witch Trial.
Despite the obstacles, I remained polite and rational. By the end today, I think I tamed the Dragon.
I won the battle!
The plan was for me to stay in Signature Health Care until Monday, and then go home Tuesday.
BUT, THINGS WENT AWRY
late today (Thursday) the ladies from Hospice came so I could sign the release papers......never realizing when they left, Hospice coverage was gone. I could no longer stay in Signature.
I have to be discharged tomorrow (Friday) and go home at 1:00 p.m.
Many things to do, not enough time.
I'm exhausted, nervous, excited, baffled.
AM I REALLY GOING HOME ????
I won the battle, after nearly a long grueling year.!!!!
FINALLY I have good news to share with you.
I can hear you whistling and applauding....perhaps I deserve a standing ovation.
