HALLOWEEN WEEK

I'm certain everyone has noticed my drastic mood changes in my recent blog posts.

When I said that the phantom medical "experts" here are killing me with an enslaught of unecessary meds - ' I am not exaggerating.

They have doubled my pain meds....and added a mind-blowing dose of steroids.

I want this to be known. I am presently having alarming side effects. Mood swings, vertigo, extreme fatigue, memory loss, endless ocular migraines......anxiety.

I told the nurse about the side effects - - she gave me a dirty look.

I gotta get the hell out of here. My weekly plan was to leave Hospice.

They dropped a bomb on me today. They didn't tell me, of course, but I heard through my secret proverbial grapevine (got a text from the transport company).

They booked a mysterious doctor appt. for me in Cookeville on November 10th. I don't plan on being here. I plan to be home.

If it is a necessary appt. I can get transportation from home. I don't need to stay in this putrid prison.

Enough of this crappy update

It's Halloween week. The most beautiful time of year. I haven't seen one day of October.

Trying to get into a Halloweeny mood. For me it's a complete impossibility. I am drugged, trapped, suppressed.

For you, I have a humble offering. A Halloween video I made a few years ago. Using an old composition called Halloween Dance, written in 1908.

My YouTube videos usually get few views. This one got over 4,000 views. I had fun making it.

Best viewed full-screen

Another one of my Halloween videos, made long ago. The Bogey Wail, sung by Jack Hylton 1928.

Don't be afraid to comment. I probably, maybe won't....bite.

I'm only a harmless Hungarian Vampire

  1. Now, what the hell kind of appointment is being made for Nov. 10th? So nice of them sharing this information with you. I wonder if the Bitch of Buchenwald is behind this one?
Yes, steroids can have all sorts of fun side effects. Is this for the back/leg issues?
Love the Halloween videos. Retro and cool.
I hope the 'escape' is soon and you're able to get things in place before the prison break.
Shall I bake a cake with a saw in it?

    1. They NEVER tell me what's going on, John. They always pull it as a surprise. Whenever I ask, nobody knows crap.
Today I got a text from Tennessee Carriers, informing me that they'll pick me up (no time mentioned??) on Nov. 10 and take me to Walnut Ln. Didn't even say what city!!!!!
I had to look it up - - it's a dermatologist in Cookeville, but no doctor's name!
I don't know if they're insane or incompetent. Both???
Confused and frustrated. A saw in a cake sounds good....

    2. I'm afraid of what I might do, John, and frightened as to what I might NOT do....I was in here LAST DECEMBER for back and edema problems, and look at me now!!!! Well, at least they zapped the edema.

    1. This whole situation has spiraled out of control. I should have never been here this long - - and they seem to be using ploys to delay my discharge.
I'm really exhausted, mentally and physically.

  3. I wonder who's actually behind these plot twists ... and is she (or he) being richly compensated behind the scenes? Yes, color me suspicious. Have you an attorney or other professional with whom you can share these goings on?
    Praying!

    1. I'm always suspicious and paranoid - - and rightly so. They NEVER tell me what's going on, and when I ask everybody plays dumb and pretends they don't know. I want to leave Hospice (I have a legal right to) and ruin their week but I'm afraid of their reaction.
No, I don't have an attorney....I never thought I'd need one.
I honestly need the prayers, Myra.

  4. Jon,
Are you in hospice now? I am so sorry what you're going through now. I know you just want to go to your home. This is one of my greatest fears, being caught in a trap like you are now. I just wish they would let you go to your home and have a hospice nurse visit you a couple times a week like they did for my Bill. He was in and out of hospice care three time. The last time was only for one day.

    1. I no longer need Hospice care. When my insurance ran out, they signed me up for Hospice because they paid coverage for Signature and also paid for radiation.
My only goal now is to get Quality Home Care again - - and they offer home physical therapy.

  5. Cripes...your stay has been nothing but a scary and hellish Halloween week movie? When does it end, and you come out the other side??? You should play a good prank on the Dragon Lady for the day. I bet that would brighten the mood. Well, at least yours. LOL!!!!

    1. I don't understand how I became trapped here, but somehow it was surprisingly easy. The best Halloween trick would be dumping Hospice and causing major panic....if I don't do something positive, I'll be doomed.

  6. Jon, I’d tell that Dragon Lady “ Bitch ! Send me home before I sue your shitty ass !!” Threats of a lawsuit will generally get their undivided attention.
Just like schools when parents have to deal with their kid getting beaten up by bullies. The smart parents file a police report and sign a criminal complaint, then threaten the school district with a hefty lawsuit. Amazing how quick the school administrators react to solving a serious problem that they scoffed and ignored.

    1. You are right on target. I have good reason to sue - - the botched biopsy that the nurse practitioner did in April, which caused hemorraghes for over five months (she has mysteriously vanished).
And that damn pulley/lift to get me out of bed, which injured my left leg.
If there was ever a Halloween nightmare - - - I'm in it.

  7. Jon, you are way past the “enough is enough” stage, so as others have suggested maybe trying to contact a lawyer, if possible, is the best thing to do, a personal injury attorney. I believe there’s no up front fees & monies are collected if you sue and win, but not 100% sure. It may be worth a try as for sure nothing and no one is working on your behalf. (Dorothy)

I love comments. Go ahead and leave one - I won't bite. But make sure you have a rabies shot just in case.
