NEW YEAR'S EVE

There are times when I'm told not to dwell in the past. I fully believe that the past is the foundation of what we are today. If we forget our past, we are lost.

No one knows what our futures will hold. We can only strive to have the physical and mental strength to go forward - - with courage, passion, and dignity. Keep the blessings you have in your heart, find some semblance of optimism no matter what tribulations you might face. Be thankful for every day. Time is a treasure.

God bless you and your family.

Jon,  ❤️ with heartfelt love

  2. thecontemplativecat here. Who knows the coming year. I have Parkinson's , newly diagnosed. My hands are starting to show it. So this year, hopefully, will go okay. One thing about Parkinson's is that there is no way up, but all the way down. So, here's to you, Jon. I raise my glass of diet coke to toast you.

    1. I'm so sorry that you have Parkinson's. My grandmother had it, long ago when no much was known about it. My fingers are very numb from all the meds I was taking. Thankfully I'm getting far less here.
Take care, prayers and blessings for you to stay strong. ❤️

I'm not so sure why, but "As Time Goes By" always 'gets' me. I love your treatment... and just shared it on my FB. Thank you, Jon.

  5. A post with no sarcasm, Jon and I always knew you are a nice person😏. None of know for certainty what the future holds with some exceptions, but hoping for the best sure beats anything else. Thanks for the Guy Lombardo clip which brought back memories and wishes for a better 2026 for you.

    1. My sarcasm can occasionally bite, but I'm usually a sweetheart with no ill intentions. Guy Lombardo does bring back memories. His rendition of Auld Lang Syne is priceless. ❤️

    1. Ron, I know that you're presently dealing with health problems. They seem to keep plaguing us. You are a fighter like I am, and I'm sure you'll through it. Take care. Hopefully the new year will bring you positive things.

  7. I quite agree with you about the past. And, I believe that for better or worse it helps us to define who we are in life with each experience.

Happy New Year and many blessings to you, Jon!

    1. The past really defines who we are today, all the good and bad things we went through. We learned many lessons and became stronger.
I hope the new year brings you positive things and blessings.
