Greetings and blessings on Easter morning! The rebirth of spring is a bright promise for hope and the prospect of positive things.
As if my AI "creations" weren't enough, I dug up some photos from Easters past.
Easter Bunny meets Tumbleweed.
This was taken on Easter morning in my back yard when I lived in Texas.
My (now deceased) cat Kitzee, sampling the Easter tulips.
My (old) spring bunny tea set
Every Easter the Orange Stars appeared in Texas ( also known as Stars of Bethlehem)
That antique egg is circa 1905
I'm addicted to jelly beans and these chocolate eggs.
Bunnies seem to be everywhere. I collect rabbits, owls, and cats.
Tea cup is from Germany, circa 1850
Spring blossoms as seen from my bedroom window here in Tennessee a few years ago. It's not Easter, but I like the photo.
Hopefully this wasn't boring
(Me boring? Never!)
I'll have to tell you about the horrifying thing (I'm not joking) that happened to me on Good Friday - - but I don't want to ruin your Easter. I'll save it for a future update.
Jon 💜 trying to survive
Happy Easter, Jon. Whatever it was on Good Friday...you have survived, thankfully. :)
ReplyDelete💜 Hope your Easter was pleasant and your feeling better.
DeleteHappy Easter, Jon, and I enjoyed these photos especially Kitzee sampling the tulips 🌷 Thanks for your comment on your favorite candy, even if not on our personal favorites list.
ReplyDeleteI actually like all kinds of Easter candy - - especially chocolate 🩵
DeleteAnd to think....I was going to ask if you liked Easter bunnies!!!! I hope this find you well this spring Easter day and that the rehab is serving you a nice Easter day dinner. Happy Easter Jon.
ReplyDeleteI have more bunnies than I know what to do with. They multiply so quickly! 💜
DeleteLove the bunny tea set! How magical. Any idea how old it is? A lot of these look like antiques. The 1850 one, wow!
ReplyDeleteThe bunny tea set isn't very old - - about 40 yrs. I have 4 German tea cups from 1850. 🩷
DeleteI wonder what the first owner of the 1850 teacups would think of our world today. They lived before WW1 and 2, the Russian Revolution, the moon landing, and home computers. Imagine how they would see us now.
DeleteI especially love Kitzee and the tulips. Thank you for posting, and we are interested in what happened good Friday.
ReplyDeleteI miss Kitzee so much. I'll tell what happened on Good Friday in my next post. 💚
Deletethecontemplativecat here. Lovely post. You could never be boring. Great photos. My Grandma Peck had a cup and saucer like yours. I have it in my curio cabinet.
ReplyDeleteI keep my old tea cups in a curio cabinet, too. I love antiques. 🩷
DeleteHappy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you! 🩷
DeleteKitzee and the tulips was and IS my favorite. That German tea cup must hold so many stories. Perhaps you could script a story about its backstory?
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd remember that Kitzee photo. I got a set of those old German tea cups in an antique store when I was about 16. Don't know much about them.
DeleteHope you had a pleasant Easter. 💜
