Yes, I have absolute disasters to reveal.
I thought the French title is dramatic.
I initially planned some blog posts that had nothing to do about my medical "problems", but I have to tell you the latest.
Besides, nobody liked my previous post about poetry. I should have never mentioned the two banned poems I wrote about the priest. Heck, it was long ago. I was twenty. He's probably dead by now.....roasting in hell and cursing me for being so seductively influential.
Heck, it's not fair. I reveal (some of) my deepest secrets in this blog....and I don't know a damn thing about you. Your sins are probably very minimal and boring - - -
My sins are epic.
(and I'll be meeting the priest in hell)
😄😅😂🤣😂👿
Okay, you're waiting to hear about my latest medical horrors.....so I'll oblige.
I was supposed to have an appointment with the dermatological surgeon in Cookeville on Monday (yesterday) morning. I got up early, prepared myself.
Breakfast was being served. I refused and told the server that I had a dr. appt. She took my tray and left. Shortly afterwards she returned and informed me that the appointment was CANCELED!!!
WHAT??!!!??
I was stunned. Who the hell canceled....and why? I asked everyone I could and nobody had an answer. Everyone I talked to was puzzled....
....but, of course, everyone was "looking into it".
Today (Tuesday) some head nurses are making calls....possibly trying to schedule a new appointment.
I'm clueless but furious. If I don't get results - - everyone will hear about it.
As if this wasn't enough
Today there was another horrifying incident 😲😮😯😵🥵
The wound care doctor and her assistant paid me their weekly visit.
As they were changing the bandages on my arm - - - I had the very worst hemorrhage ever. It bleeds in two places, and I heard one of them mention an artery.
This time they couldn't stop the bleeding. They even mentioned what hospital I should be sent to.....in case.....
My hospital gown and everything was soaked in blood. I'm pretty damn tough, but I was genuinely scared. I kept looking out the window...
Praying.
As if all this crap isn't enough, I have another bacterial infection. I need more antibiotics. Fortunately not shots in the ass this time. I suppose pills (?).
How much more punishment can I take? I'm almost overwhelmed. But not quite.
I shop online just to escape my problems. Today I bought some books and a new phone....and ordered candy and pretzels from the local Walmart. Have you ever heard of Dot's Pretzels? They're made with garlic and parmesan. I love them - - even though they're expensive and my diet is sodium restricted.Jon ❤️ almost overwhelmed
I am so behind in reading blogs and blogging it isn't funny. Two and a half weeks on vacation really sets one back. I sorry to read the tales of woe just won't end. I have no idea why they jut can't be transparent with you.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes...DOTS !!!!! Thye are all very good. One of my favorite brands of pretzel. They taste good to dipped in honey mustard.
I have doubt that you enjoyed your vacation. Summer is passing too quickly.
DeleteI don't know if the people here at rehab are purposefully keeping me clueless, or they are just careless. It's an annoying puzzle.
I didn't think anyone heard about Dot's pretzels.
What a nightmare Jon! The hemorrhaging is very concerning. That condition may keep you from returning to your home. When I wake up every morning, I am so stiff (my body, not the other "thing") from my arthritis I can hardly move and it's not getting better. The arthritis is probably from my long ago Lyme tick infection. I can still get around though and don't need the kind of help you're getting now although you don't have much choice. I think you're like me and you appreciate and value your independence and solitude. I do hope things get better for you Jon.
ReplyDeleteRon
At first I wasn't too concerned about my are, but now I'm very worried. It should have been treated long ago. It took nearly three months to get that appointment.
DeleteI'm so sorry about your arthritis. I know it's difficult, but keep trying to be mobile. Lyme disease is scary. I've had numerous tick bites here in TN and it's very concerning.
Take care, Ron.
I meant to say arm - - not are
DeleteJon,
DeleteWith your "are", I thought you were doing your best Pirate accent.
This is too much. After all this, cancelled? Did they ever actually make the appointment? I'm furious on your behalf.
ReplyDeleteThere are no words to adequately express the frustration, aggravation felt just be reading this latest debacle. The continuing situation with your arm and the bleeding is worrisome even from a distance, Jon. Good for you on treating yourself.
ReplyDelete"and I'll be meeting the priest in hell"
ReplyDeleteYou don't belong in hell, Jon.
I certainly hope you get an explanation and another appointment set up. Makes me so angry for you. They can see exactly why you need that surgery. They deal with trying to stop the bleeding. They know exactly why it is needed! They sounded as baffled as you are. Keep bugging them and asking questions!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of those pretzels. What books did you order?
You are persevering! :)
