Sssshh......
This is just between you and me. It's our secret (even if miserable interlopers are listening).
Yesterday (Tuesday) was a positive day for me, finally got some good news - - medically speaking. I'm not going to reveal the details yet, because some obstacles have arisen.
Obstacles along the Path of Probable Optimism.
My excursion to Cookeville yesterday yielded bright and positive results, which should begin next week.
But.....
When I returned to Signature Health Care and began eating dinner....
The resident Social Worker appeared in my room - - whom I call the Dragon Lady (the nicest term I can come up with). She is notorious for always bringing bad news and is perpetually pessimistic.
She told me all the negative things that could happen that will thwart my positive plans for the very near future.
I didn't eat a bite of my dinner, and by the time she got through....I was almost in tears.
Well, here's a FLASH.
I'm tired of negative bastards gleefully trying to ruin my day. Let them all go somewhere else. This Dour Bitch isn't going to spoil my plans. I'll fight her every inch of the way.
I'll elaborate on this medical news in a future post.
Many thanks for your comments on my previous post "Echoes of Distant Summers". This old rehash got an incredible amount of views (deservedly).
One of my favorite posts....and there will be more.

Oh, BTW, the image above isn't me.
Congratulations on the good news!
ReplyDeleteJon, it could all be all right, right? 🎈
There always have to be one damn fly in the ointment it seems right??? But at least some good news on the horizon...... maybe the tide is changing with the seasons....fingers crossed...
ReplyDeleteSome people simply can't tolerate good news. Yes, ignoring them is good. And I'm hopeful about the good news.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed, indeed! Sending out big hopes, vibes, thoughts, wishes....and a cat for good measure.

Dig those fingernails into the good news and don't let go!
ReplyDeleteAwww, I thought it was you! 😄 Some people just cannot help themselves, they must bring people down to their level of misery.
ReplyDeleteWhy do some people have to walk around with a hat pin, bursting others' bubbles. I can't wait to hear about the Good News!
