ENOUGH
As if I didn't have enough problems (I could easily list fifty of them), my laptop went kompletely krazy last night.
The keyboard isn't working and neither are the USB ports. I'm presently writing
this on a virtual keyboard - which ain't
easy. I'm gonna try to fix it tonight.
Wish me luck. I'll sure as hell need it.
Jon

Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. Mine started after an update.
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side … at least you know the ABC's of fixing it! I'm such a technophobe, the thingamajig would most likely suffer death by hammer. Sending scads of good luck wishes!
ReplyDeleteDear Jon, I had a similarly weird thing happen this a.m.: visited a site I've oft-visited for years and got PURPORTEDLY a message from WINDOWS saying I'd been infected with a virus. It had all the earmarks of a fake alert, so I shut down the PC. Restarted, same alert. So I opened the Microsoft Store icon on the bottom bar and had their software guide me through data recovery. Changed all my passwords and had Frontier do 2 scans to make sure I'd abolished the virus. It's ok now, but had me flummoxed for a couple hours. Only time I ever had to use a virtual keyboard was a couple years back when a glass of wine spilled into the keyboard. Best of luck with your conundrum and remember we've all been there. You're not alone.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I hope you have some success. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I hate computer problems. Being without computer/internet access these days is a total crisis for me.
ReplyDeleteRemember when the very idea of a personal computer seemed like science fiction? I remember when my aunt worked on computers when they were new and they took up an entire huge room that was temperature controlled (chilly) with a raised floor and they stood floor to ceiling like spinning, blinking walls. If anyone told us then that we could wear a computer on our wrist...or type instantly to a person in another state or country--OMG!
I hope you get it fixed. Pronto! :)
i hope you were able to fix it.
