BLOSSOMS TIMIDLY APPEAR

After a seemingly endless onslaught of cold weather, it's slowly beginning to warm up - - although it's still in the chilly 30s (Fahrenheit) at night.

On Easter morning - as if by some Divine miracle - spring blossoms began to appear. Much of the rural terrain around my house has been ravaged (and ruined) by vicious storms and violent winds - with toppled trees and wayward branches. Nothing is like it used to be, but the appearance of blossoms are a timid sign of hope.

Speaking of "hope", I have some (timid) updates concerning my previous Easter Disaster post. Walmart gave me a refund for the recent items that I ordered but never received.

I got a quick reply from Wild Fork Foods, concerning the wrong order that I received (which ruined my plans for an Easter dinner). They requested to see a photograph of the erroneous items I received - - and I complied immediately. Hopefully, they will resolve this annoying issue.

Despite this smidgen of good news, I'm still extremely depressed, frustrated, overwhelmingly tired, and in deplorable health.
But I'm delighted that winter is finally gone.

A few photos taken on Easter.

  1. Your trees are showing signs of leafing out, that's good news. Happy to learn you have been reimbursed for your soggy Walmart delivery and fingers crossed for your meal reimbursement. Sending healing wishes your way.

  2. Recently Walmart sent me an item with a broken cap. At first they wanted me to return it in person or send it back. Like I’m going to mail a bottle full of liquid. They gave me a refund. (salemslot9)

  3. Thanks for this update on your online orders. I'm glad they're at least owning their own missteps. Depression is a real thing; Tom's recently been given an Rx to try. Perhaps that's something you could pursue? Baby steps!

  5. I am glad that Walmart is AT LEAST refunding you for your order. I know it is not the same, but perhaps you can have sort of belated Easter feast?

Depression IS a serious problem and far too many of us suffer from it. I hesitate to take meds, but maybe it would be something to consider?

    Pretty pics!

  6. thecontemplativecat here, Google is messing with me. Living in southern California, we don't have the flowering here. I have a Mediterranean lilac bush, and waiting for it to give me some color. WalMart really messed up, you deserve more.

  8. The photo's are so pretty, Jon. Things are out a little more than here in Ohio, but we're coming along. These 80 degree days are helping. Glad Walmart did something as
did the other store. Service just sucks these days. It's no doubt more of a challenge
in rual areas. Yes, depression is terrible. I was a psych nurse for 25 years...need I say more. Take care and thank you for the lovely photos.

  9. Beatrice, not anonymous, Jon and the refund isn’t the same, but at least something and hope Wild Fork Foods follows suit, although I think both should have added more to a refund just for the inconvenience and missed meal. It’s good to read and see that some form of spring has arrived there.

I love comments. Go ahead and leave one - I won't bite. But make sure you have a rabies shot just in case.
