After nearly two weeks without an Internet connection, I finally got a connection this morning. Miracle! I'll try to write this post quickly, in case the Gods of Technology heard me and take it away.
Also, I have such severe pain in my right arm that I can hardly type. I don't want to give a medical update, because it is dismal and my depression is profound. No need for alarm. I'm hanging on by a thin thread, but I'll be damned if I let go.
I'm still at Signature in Jamestown.
Well, with Internet I can order some food from Walmart this week. The highlite (light?) of my dreary existence.
I have a lot to say, but I'll drastically condense. July has arrived. It's in the 90s here, between endless thunderstorms. There was a tornado warning and power outage a few nights ago. No damage.
I hope everyone has a joyous holiday weekend. Be thankful for the positive things you have. They are precious.

Just received some bad news from insurance....just what I need to destroy my weekend.

ReplyDeleteMy great-great grandfather served with the Missouri Militia on the Union side during Civil War. He was mustered in 1862 at age 17 and served until the end in 1865.
Towards the end of 1865, he married an Alabama belle whose family had to flee Alabama during the Civil War because her father was that rare breed, a Southern Abolitionist.

That's an interesting story about your great-great grandfather. I'm glad he survived that brutal war. When I lived in the Missouri Ozarks, I lived only two miles Wilson's Creek where one of the battles were. A very haunting place.

Between being away on vacation, the heat, and storms and blogger acting weirder that ever, (according to my blog reader, your blog and a few others are not updating, it says you haven't posted in over two weeks.!), time has gotten away. It was hotter in Philly than it was in Phoenix on the 4th of July, they had 104 and we had 103... times they are a changin'.

Delete103 is almost cool for AZ. We visited there many times when I was a child. We had relatives in Phoenix and Flagstaff. I loved Flagstaff.
Actually it was considered Cool for the 4th by Phoenix Standards. *winks* Yet, now it's no longer the respite of ONLY 103... more like 115-117 daily now. *Ha ha ha* I always felt that only in Metro Phoenix can you even say it was ONLY 103 or 105... smiles.
