Will I be getting any Valentines? Not a chance. I remember long ago when everyone in my school class would exchange penny Valentines. And candy hearts. Much later, I always exchanged Valentines with my friends and relatives. It was a pleasant sentiment.
Now I'm confined in a hospital bed here in Physical Therapyland. Frustrated, miserable, deeply depressed.
I won't tell about the severe, excruciating pain in my hip and back. I've been unable to move at all and have refused to attend physical therapy all week. I've been consorting with doctors and nurse practitioners all week. Xrays? Pain meds? I honestly don't know what the heck will happen. And I don't think they do, either. I'm supposed to get xrays tomorrow.
Had chest pain today. Don't worry. I'm okay so far.
So far.
Life is an endless agonizing nightmare. We're all in our private Hell.
I wile away the useless hours creating images with AI (artificial intelligence). There are countless AI websites. I'm presently using Freepik - which isn't exactly free.
I'm sure some of you don't give a flying fig, but hopefully I still have a few (very few) faithful friends. I was going to say "followers", but that would make me sound like Rasputin.
Anyway, I'm inflicting you with some of my latest AI creations.
Jon ❤️😻❤️
Hoping you'll have a sweet Valentine's Day
Okay, don't panic. In my innocent request, I asked for a "traditional cupid". They generated this! I think it's kinda humorous.
What's this?
I just discovered it in my files.
Me and my (now deceased) cat Kitzee. Early one morning I crawled out of bed half asleep. Kitzee was waiting for me. I set the timer on my digital camera and took this.
I look worse than the far side of hell. Hair should be trimmed. Mustache is ridiculous.
So that's what I look like in the morning.....😵
I miss my cats SO much
Happy hearts Day to you, Jon, as that is my preferred term for the day. And, I would gladly send you a belated card, if you could remind me of your current mailing address and room number. As one of your blogger friends, also my preferred term, it is disheartening (no pun intended) to read that you are in such pain. I know that getting mail of any type can be a morale booster, so please do re-post or email me your mailing address.
ReplyDeleteI like the terms Hearts Day and blogger friends.
DeleteMy current address is

Thanks, Jon, and glad you liked my alternate terms. A belated greeting will be posted today and hope it finds its way to you, my friend.
DeleteOMG! Those pics you created are fantastic! And I am sooo happy that you included that last pic of you and your beloved Kitzee! It brought tears to my eyes - simply BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as a Valentine's Day cards. we used to do the exact same thing when I was in elementary school - those were the good ole days, eh?
I want to send you a "Hearts Day" card and I am glad that you shared your address where you are at with us! LOOK FOR IT!!!
Happy Valentine's Day dear friend!
- Kim
Those long ago school days were innocent and fun. The times have (unfortunately) changed.
DeleteI'm so glad that you like that last photo of me and Kitzee. You're probably the only one to say those kind words.
I posted this a day early....I thought tomorrow was Valentine's Day!
Thanks, Kim.
I'm sorry to hear of all the woes and pain your still in. I sure hope it will improve soon. But I sense like myself your getting a kick out of AI. I love the images you came up with this time. I too often think back on those fun Valentines we had as kids. I recall they brought in boxes for us, and we got to decorate them with colored papers and hearts and such. Then over the week, we'd all bring in our little valentines to put in everyone's box, some with those little candy hearts in them. Fond memories.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some piece and sense of love on the day. Happy Valentine Jon
💓💗💝💌💕💝💖💟
I remember Valentine's Day when I was kid and it's exactly the way you described it. We had to decorate boxes to put the Valentines in.
DeleteWell, AI generated some really sexy cupids - some of which I wouldn't put on this blog....you would have liked them.
When I finally get these xrays, I hope they'll figure out what's causing the pain in my back.
Have a sweet Valentine's Day!
😻💕🧡
Happy Valentine's Day to you dear friend.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in England, we used to send Valentine's to class mates but they were not signed so it was kind of a game, guessing who put the card in your desk, and who was your admirer.
I'm hoping they can find out the cause of your pain, and wish for you better days
Your pictures are lovely, I've not tried the AI yet.
Hugs,
Jo
I like the idea of anonymous Valentines - it's intriguing, yet it would drive me crazy wondering who sent them.
DeleteI'm so frustrated with all my ailments, but the back and hip pain is the worst. If I could get rid of that, I'd be doing fairly good.
It's not too difficult to generate AI pictures, but I haven't tried anything complicated yet.
Thanks, Jo.
The cat pics are my favorites....of course. I hope they can figure out what's causing all this pain and immobility. They need to have you in a pain management program. Back/spinal issues can be a gray area at times. Best of luck with the medical issues. Having gone through an episode of severe sciatica, I truly can relate (to a degree). Happy Valentine's Day. Wishing you better days ahead and some resolution to your pain and mobility.
ReplyDeleteParanormal John
I'm so frustrated/disgusted with the eternal pain. Hopefully (?) the xrays might reveal something. They ordered some new pain meds that I'll try today. If the pain could be permanently eliminated I'd be okay.
DeleteMy favorite pictures are always the cats - - I mostly do the others to add some variety.
I hope you're doing well battling the war with sciatica.
The War on Sciatica....indeed. I've had it in the past, but this episode (literally) brought me to my knees. Thankfully the PT is helping. I go 2 X week for the month of February. Plus, home exercises twice a day and meds. Mornings are the worst. My therapist said that's common with sciatica. He said they probably treat more people with sciatica than anything else. I sure hope the new pain meds help, Jon.

The girl with the flowers on her hat looks so real. And check out the man's eyes in the photo after her. Is that lust? I am just going to say AI seems to be able to capture us quite well. In years to come will we know what is real? Ha...do we know now?
ReplyDeleteI never heard of AI until very recently. There's a guy on YouTube named Ray William Johnson who does a lot of bizarre interesting (often crime) true stories, and he admitted that he uses AI generated illustrations. That's the first time I ever heard of it.
DeleteThe frightening/annoying thing about AI is that we never know what's real or not.
I've been able to create some realistic people, without using the advanced things.
That man is a gypsy. It's probably lust. 😸
😂
DeleteEach of these -- human and feline alike -- eyes are so immersive. Mesmerizing. Like Sandi, I'm drawn to the Hispanic gentleman. Undisguised interest ... loathing ... or suspicion?
ReplyDeleteLove this image of you and Kitzee -- her gaze not unlike that of Nancy Reagan.
Praying your caregivers discover something soon to abate your pain!
I'm surprised that I've created some realistic pictures, especially the people - without using any of the advanced methods. The man and young lady with the hats are gypsys. What elaborate clothing! I merely generated "colorful outfits".
DeleteI really laughed when you said Kitzee had a Nancy Reagan gaze. So apt! (I met Ronald and really liked him, but I never particularly liked Nancy - - but she was faithful and doting)
They've ordered pain meds for me. So far I haven't had the xrays.
Jon,
ReplyDeleteLOVE the picture of you and Kitzee!
Ron
Thank you, Ron, Kitzee looks so cute on the picture.
DeleteI hope you're having a great time in Palm Springs - - swimming in February! 😺
Hi Jon, I love the pictures of all the cats especially Kitzee and you! Very nice. Happy Valentine’s Day! 💝💌💖
ReplyDeleteThe cats are always my favorite, too. Thank you, Gabrielle, and have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
Delete😻❤️
