What's the use?
I hit rock bottom and my derriere hurts.
My recent previous posts were about poetry, summer images, family history. I purposely avoided medical updates. I've been unleashing medical horror stories for the past two years and I'm sick of it.
I want to delve into different subjects, even if the general consenses disagrees. I'll write about Rimsky-Korsakov's orchestrations, Proust's love life, my unholy long ago alliance with a priest. I don't give a flying fig if it's unpopular.
I've had more adventures than you could dream about.
I've hit rock bottom.
I'll give you a (hopefully) quick update.
Yesterday (Saturday) I had yet another medical malfunction. The bandage on my upper right arm was suddenly soaked with blood (from the squamous cell carcinoma). My hospital "attire" was soaked in blood.
The nurse on duty decided to change my bandages. I was very apprehensive. I knew what would happen.
Massive hemorrhage. As fricking usual.
If you saw the blood, you'd faint. I'm beyond fainting. I've been through too much.
Finally, after an infinite time, the bleeding slooowed. She put an ice pack on it for half an hour. The new bandages were eventually applied.
Everything had to be changed - - hospital "gown", sheets, pillowcase.
Immediately lunch was served. I, of course, had to decline.
Later, someone brought me a ham sandwich.
How's that for an update?
I've heard.....heard.....that my September appointment with the surgeon is updated to August 12th. Who knows???
Let's change subjects.
I like my AI image at the top of this post. It's damn good.
I am FURIOUS about the new UI7.0 update on my android phone, and lots of other people are, too. Now my phone is sluggish, battery drains quickly, and the new visuals are appalling. Among other things.
Updates appear with Nazi tactics. You can't stop it.
The only way to get rid of it is to revert to the original system and you'll lose everything.
Subject change
I recently made a photo book. I plan to send copies to my cousins. I used Mixbooks, instead of Walmart or Walgreen's.
All photos of my property.

I've been buying a lot of things lately, for a private legal reason that I don't want to reveal publicly. I have a surplus of money in my bank account.
I bought a Baltic amber ring.
For some reason, I was captivated by this last one. It's face is so cute. There's a tiny chip on one ear, but I don't care.

Special note:
Dorothy, thank you for the card, and the snow pictures are beautiful! ๐งก
Down, but never out. The pictures of your property are lovely. They'll be welcome gifts.
ReplyDeleteI'm often down, but somehow I always rise to the surface. I'm hoping I'll survive soon enough to see my property again. Take care, Liz.
DeleteAs Liz said, you get back up. Your property looks lovely and the cats are cute. I like the last one best, too.
ReplyDeleteI often think about giving up - - one way or another. Yet, I keep plodding on. After all I've been through, it would be foolish to fail.
DeleteThanks, Jon, for letting me know that the card arrived and that you enjoyed the photos as well and you're very welcome. After reading about this latest incident, I sure hope the August appointment holds and I KNOW you do even more. The photo book will be a nice surprise for your cousins. The cost of mailing is becoming more prohibitive than the cost of the actual project.
