My greatest Christmas gift is knowing that you take the time to read my blog and truly care about me. This is very humbling.
Some of you are long time visitors. Others prefer to remain anonymous or choose not to leave comments. I know you're there and I appreciate it.
There are many times when I feel selfish and egotistical, writing about my problems - - when I know you have enough of your own.
I wish I could gather all of you so I could give each a big hug. You have a special place in my heart.
Jon, with love
(My Internet connection is extremely bad today - these videos aren't always working)

ReplyDeleteBig Hugs to you, too!
DeleteHugs!!! (Blogger must have eaten my earlier comment.)
ReplyDeleteIt was in spam. I rescued it (see comments above)
DeleteI love this post, Jon! You know, another thing that my dad taught me was that essentially we are ALL here in this thing called life together and the only way we will get though it is to help one another - and that is exactly how my dad lived his life. So when people who knew him well tell me that I am too much like my dad, I take it as a compliment!
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you, my friend - Kim
Your father was a unique person, whose compassion made the world a better place - much like you!
DeleteYou are too kind, Jon and thank you!
DeleteJon, Happy Christmas, it’s a day late ⏰ though. May you have a Happy and Blessed New Year! You have a sense of humor through all your adversities in life. This lifts me up today! Gabrielle Gengler
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late for heartfelt greetings. I really do try to maintain a sense of humor during difficult times. I'm glad it lifts your spirits.
DeleteThank you, Gabrielle and have a blessed New Year.
Merry Christmas Jon. Hope it's a good day, and you are well.
ReplyDeleteI'm just up from taking a nap, the adult daughters are off doing whatever they do until dinner later.
Best wishes for all of us in the new year.
Mike
I had to go back to the ER in Livingston due to the edema. I was given 100 mg of Lasix.. All of my bloodwork and xrays came out very good. I now have a new Lasix prescription.
DeleteI'm feeling better.
Take care, Mike and have a great New Year.
Jon,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is one of my greatest treasures on the Internet. I only have two blogs that I follow regularly, although at times I am gone for extended periods for reasons I know not why. The other blog is Spo Reflections, my friend Michael in Phoenix Arizona. You two guys are two of the most genuine people I am fortunate enough to have as friends through the Internet, where there is so much phoniness and lies. You two are the most honest and sweetest guys I know.
I hope your new year is an improvement over this past year for you where you had so many challenges which, by the way you have met with grace and dignity.
Have a wonderful and peaceful new year my friend.
Ron
What a sweet thing to say - - I'll always treasure that. Thanks Ron for being such a faithful and valuable friend all these years. I try to meet challenges with dignity (not always easy).
DeleteTake care, and have a blessed New Year.
Although I am a day late in my Christmas wishes, Jon, you could also think of them as early for next year. Despite all your physical ailments you keep going and thank you for feeling able to share in your posts. It may not be easy to read of what you have been going through in recent months but it’s real. As a long time reader, I am glad to call you a friend, even if only in blog land. My wish for you is that 2025 will bring some relief to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a faithful and understanding friend, Dorothy. It means a lot to me. I've been through an enormous amount of unpleasant things....but I try to keep pushing foreward with some semblance of dignity.
DeleteI hope your 2025 will be bright with wonderful adventures!
BTW I haven't been getting my mail delivery, it's difficult in this rural area. I'll have one of the nurses check next week.
DeleteYou are talented, Jon. Beautiful music!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandi! I really appreciate that!
