I initially wrote a post which contained about a dozen AI pictures, which depicted my images of spring.
I thought it was dumb and self-serving, so I reverted it to a draft. I might repost it.....who knows?
SO - -
What could be more annoying and self-serving than a couple of my piano videos?
I post these two videos every year at the beginning of spring.
The first one is brief. I chose music by Felix Mendelssohn (1809 - 1847), one of his lyrical piano pieces from Lieder ohne Worte (Songs Without Words).
He wrote 48 of these pieces, and I recorded every one, long ago.
Second video recorded when I lived in San Angelo, TX. Crappy video. It was an incredibly hot day and I was only practicing.
Rustle of Spring
BY Norwegian composer Christian Sinding (1856 - 1941).
Rustling? Symbolic of the restlessness of spring.
Jon 🧡 musically yours
In the first video, something happened to the audio part where the yellow chicks are eating. It sounds like the tape starts to rewind or replays.
I listened to the tape LOUDER this time and it sounds ok.
I always enjoy listening to you play, Jon and your videos as well 💖
ReplyDeleteI enjoy them, too, Kim - becau
Deletese deep down inside I know I'll probably never play again. Fate has dealt me untold brutal blows. I hate to be so pessimistic but it's the truth.
Thanks for your comment. 😺
I am looking forward to seeing your newest AI art creations too!
DeleteI always enjoy your music, Jon. Talent! Something that was not in my DNA. My parents insisted I take piano lessons. My poor teacher was probably on the verge of becoming an alcoholic (thanks to me) before we all called it a day. I love piano music and in fact was just listening to a recording of Wilhelm Kempff play Gabriel Faure 'Nocturne No. 6 in D flat, Op. 63.
ReplyDeleteThe AI creations are a delight....esp. those kitties. Keep em coming...both music and AI.
Paranormal John
I wish everyone had your enthusiasm for my humbl keep the music and kitty aie talents *smile*. I used to annoy my music teachers because I wanted to do things my own way. Stubborn.
DeleteI used to have a recording of all Faure's nocturnes, but all of my old record collection was "lost" when I moved.
I'll keep the music and kitty ai pics coming. Thanks!
Sorry for all the typos
DeleteThat should be "humble" and "kitty ai talents"
What beautiful pieces you share, your talents are endless my friend.
ReplyDeleteHoping you are able to return to your piano and treat us to more of your music.
Hugs,
Jo
I look back when I was a serious musician and it all seems like a faraway dream. Hopefully someday I can return to a keyboard.
DeleteYour kind words are appreciated.
Brava, brava! You had me at those chicks and baby bunnies ... but yes, the melodies are intoxicating, too. Until you're able to return home, have you considered ordering a folding keyboard? Blogger Jack recently profiled something his musician grandson brought to a family get-together (https://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/2025/03/the-folding-piano.html) that looks pretty cool. I can't speak for the quality, but this is something, perhaps, you could use at the rehab ... and call it Occupational Therapy.
ReplyDeleteI checked out Jack's blog post and the folding piano keyboard. Technology is astounding today - - I honestly can't keep up with it.
DeleteThis folding keyboard would probably be very helpful for me - - but there are too many (annoying) people around here ( like Greta Garbo, "I vant to be aloone".
The keyboard would be helpful when I get home. I'll consider it.
I'm presently concerned about the numbness in my fingers. Nobody knows what's causing it. I think it might be all the meds.
One problem after another....it never ends.
Thanks, Myra.
Watching your hands move across the keys is mesmerizing. These two songs are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteP.S. repost the spring photos!
Your kind words made my day 😸
DeleteI just made a few new spring pictures - so I'll put them in my next post. Thanks, Sandi.
