No damage here, except for my nerves, but it was a helluva rough night. Torrential rain, high winds, hail, and Biblical lightning and thunder.
At around 2:00 a.m. we had a Tornado Warning, but the most dangerous weather seemed to stay southwest of my area.
Being nestled here in the deep hills, surrounded by forests, perhaps - - just perhaps - - I might be protected from tornadoes.....
....but I wouldn't bet on it.
After the storm my computer went completely haywire. I can no longer get my live-stream TV channels - - but strangely enough I still get the Weather Channel. I can't get any radio signals, and numerous websites are down.
I'll try to reply to the comments on my previous post Food Horror Stories when I can.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) I'm going to try to drive to town. Despite the rain....and mud.
glad you are safe. one of my other blog buddy's lives in Mt. Juliet and her neighborhood was hit. a scary storm indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness!!!!! I was wondering how you came through. I'm still waiting to hear from a dear blog biddy and friend in Dixon...no word yet...and my cousin who lives in Nashville.
ReplyDeleteI know that you may not be able to read or comment to this comment until your computer and/or internet issues are sorted out, Jon. I just watched some online videos of tornado damages and heard about the deaths from that tornado hit in Nashville. Glad your place didn't receive any physical damages.
ReplyDeleteForgot to add, be careful about that mud when driving to town tomorrow as i recall a recent trip of slipping, sliding and getting stuck😟
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see this and realize you're safe! From what I've seen on TV, Nashville and the surrounding area's looking pretty ugly. Please, think about that motorcycle helmet? (I found ours on eBay for like $30.) Our meteorologists say the majority of storm-related fatalities are due to head injuries.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see this post! There were so many deaths. :( I've never lived in a place that had tornadoes, so the idea of them terrifies me.
ReplyDeleteJust saw the damage on the news feed. My brother lives in Tennessee. Wonder if he had any damage...
ReplyDeleteThe saying is bad weather here tomorrow, but I'm hoping not. Glad you are safe and be careful getting tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOur bad weather usually follows yours but so far we have more sunshine than winds.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update Jon, I am thinking you live far east of Nashville.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the next installment of The Trials and Tribulations of Going to Town!
♥️♥️♥️♥️Susan
So glad you are safe! And I hope your trip to town is uneventful. :)
ReplyDeleteI was offline during my trip, so wasn't aware of the storm until after the fact. Hope you are doing well and that your trip into town was uneventful.
ReplyDeleteIt is not easy to get through tough times. The storm was really bad and a lot of people have been rendered homeless. It is simply not in our hands. It is nature’s call and God abides. Let’s all take precautions and be safe. I had tough time for two days without electricity and network. Now things have been restored.
