Just a note - - the packages that I thought were stolen had been delivered to the wrong address. The man who owns the property is very seldom there. He happened to come by today and brought all the things I ordered - - including the new mattress!
Please read my previous post for latest updates.
Jon (delighted!)
Wonderful news! High time you had some.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks - - I agree!
DeleteSo you did get a break! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm so relieved that I didn't lose all that money - and have honest neighbors.
DeleteWrong address delivery... I see it daily here. That's some well-needed good news today !
ReplyDeleteJo
This has happened several times before. The FedEx delivery people are often careless. Anyway, I'm overjoyed at having a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear! 🤗
ReplyDeleteBig smiles today, after a rough start to the week.
ReplyDeleteSee this big smile on my face? You just put it there!
ReplyDeleteFinally I have good news to share instead of disasters! And an honest, helpful neighbor who saved the day. Big smiles all around.
DeleteThat is just plain marvelous!! So glad you let us know. Enjoy your new mattress and all the food you ordered--whoohoo! :)
ReplyDeleteThis came as a fantastic surprise - - I really wasn't expecting it. I'm breathing a big sigh of relief!
DeleteDear Jon, After reading your post of yesterday I wanted to at least send you a new mattress --birthday, xmas and all that-- but couldn't find an envelope big enough. Glad you got your purchases and got to meet an honest neighbor!
ReplyDeleteP.S: comment above is from me --decided against changing my name to Anonymous.
DeleteI like Geo a lot better than anonymous. Gift-wrapping a mattress would be somewhat of a chore - - not to mention the postage. Thanks!
DeleteHi Jon. Regarding the recent hospital trip, to quote Gilda Radner "It's always something". You are not alone. Challenges come way too often. But, very happy you received your packages. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI certainly remember the Gilda Radner quote and it's SO true! It's such a relief to have something going right for a change.
DeleteGood news, indeed! So happy for you. About time you got a break. Onward and upward!
ReplyDeleteParanormal John
Upward indeed! A big sigh of relief!
DeleteNew reader here, came over from “Just Me”. So glad you found your packages and I hope your health continues to improve. Pat/Central Texas
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Pat. I lived in TX for about 15 years - San Angelo and Odessa. I hope you'll visit my blog again.
DeleteThat is great news, and at least he was honest and returned it all.
ReplyDeleteThis lifted my spirits and restored my faith in humanity. But I'm irritated with FedEx. It isn't the first time they screwed up my deliveries.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to read this update, Jon, especially after reading the previous post, a bit late this week. Hopefully, you will be able to talk to someone at FedEx about the wrong address delivery. Kudos to that neighbor for being honest and delivering all the items to you!
ReplyDeleteIt's a blessing that there are kind, honest people around here. FedEx has done this several times in the past. They seem to ignore delivery instructions.
DeleteWonderful news, Jon!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to have good news for a change!
DeleteSweet dreams Jon 🛌

I'll dream of Lisa, Posh, and Whiteface. Hope you are all doing well.
DeleteHi Jon
ReplyDeleteBeen flying, just got back online. Lisbon is a nice place.
i'm sorry about the CHF diagnosis, what is the treatment your doc is suggesting? It can be held in abeyance for several years, though not cured. Diuretics, BP meds diet and exercise are the usual.
Let me know how you're doing, I'll check back as I can.
I've never been to Lisbon but I'll bet it's an enjoyable retreat this time of year.
DeleteI've always suspected that I had CHF but it's a depressing revelation on top of all my other problems.
You're right - - I'm on diuretics, BP meds, a low sodium diet, and vitamins.
I will keep posting updates.
Thanks, Mike.
