GOLDEN GLIMPSES OF AUTUMN

Of course you want to hear updates. An afternoon visit to Cookeville Medical Center today. A COLD ride in a rambling ambulance. Why do they leave the air condition blasting when it's 70 degrees outside?

Arrived on time at the radiation department (believe me, I remember the ordeal of going there for seven weeks in 2023 - every one remembered me).

Today they put me on the most uncomfortable hard rack (rack of TORTURE). My back and spine hurt so bad I almost screamed. Measured the bandaged wound, took photos/xrays (whatever), made black magic markings all over my flesh.

Radiation treatments start next Monday (22nd) and will continue for five days. The cancerous "wound" will shrink and bleeding should stop.

I'm not expecting miracles, but........

And now, boys and girls, my random glimpses of autumn.

Don't groan - - - I know 90% of you loathe my A.I. (artificial intelligence) creations....fake.

Hey, here's a FLASH!!!

The movies you watch are fake, the novels you read are fake, the news you watch is often fake, the makeup you wear is fake, half of the food you eat is fake.......

Welcome to the Glorious World of Fictitious!

Okay.....

A long time ago, when I was fifteen, I bought a book of American art. There was one painting in there, called "My Parents." I don't remember the artist but it had a great impact on me. The picture depicted an elderly couple in an autumnal forest. They seemed to be at the end of a path - -  Somehow it filled me with a pang of overwhelming sadness.....and deep melancholy.

At that time in my life, I didn't want to realize there is an eventual.....end......

I tried to recreate the painting using A.I. but with very little success.

Another creation, Faded Chords, with myself perhaps in mind......

Hungry Trio. Perhaps a lighthearted moment? I made about eight of these mice pictures....some more devious than others. Mice are destructive!

The red fox was sleeping in all of my pics, but here he woke up.

The Apple Lovers. Think what you like......

Turkey Time. I made the pic this morning. One of my friends in northern Calif. is presently overrun by wild turkeys. She inspired me.

Awakening Crows. Did I previously post this? Can't remember....but crows are autumnal.

Puppy Love. Well, doggos love autumn, too.

Perhaps? Autumn can be spooky. Is she lamenting a lost lover.....or perhaps glad she got rid of one.....

Under the Harvest Moon. There are romantic autumn nights, which I remember....

Are you getting bored?? Heck my annoying imagination, with unnecessary dots......

Deep in the Forest. This could be the witch's house.

Unleashed at sunset. Have you ever lived near bats? A great chorus of squeaking.

Remembering long ago
.....is nourishment to feed our soul.

Pretty Kitty. Sometimes these feline pics look so real.

Thanks for enduring me.

Jon 🧡 autumnal obsession

Jane from TN - - I just got your thoughtful card. 💚 😸

P.S. did anybody notice I keep spelling "intelligence" wrong??

  1. I'm glad you're one step nearer getting some treatment. If they've marked the arm they must mean business this time. When the surgeon marked my hip before replacing the joint, he signed his name!

    1. I'm relieved about the treatments, but I'll believe it when I see it.
My parents - - made me sad.

    2. My Mom is in a care facility right now. About a week and a half ago I went to her apartment to help with laundry and realized she shouldn't be alone. We ended up calling 911. Three days in the hospital and then they moved her to a rehab place to regain her strength, but it is hard to know if she is improving. Now I don't know. She is 85.

    1. Sometimes I think my creativity is waning.
After waiting for over five months - - I won't believe the radiation until I see it.

    1. I've waited five long months to get my arm treated - - next week can't come soon enough.
I always enjoy making the AI creations, with undoubtedly hundreds to chose from. I should have a seperate blog to put them in.

  6. The AI creations are great....as always. Love the 'autumn themes'. My favorite season.
A separate blog with your creations would be cool. So glad the wheels are turning with the radiation treatments. Onward!

    1. I'd like to have a blog for my a.i. creations, to weed out those who can't tolerate them.
I won't believe the radiation treatments until they actually begin. Waiting for over five months is one helluva long time.

    2. Well, I'm glad you're able to post here again, too, Sam. I really like Harvest Moon and The Apple Lovers - - I have a lot more "suggestive" autumn pics, perhaps I should start a new blog. I don't like to offend anyone.
Unfortunately, I never met Robert Redford - - but I have a few John Wayne stories.
      Hugs, Jon

  8. Good news, Jon, on the hopefully radiation start because at least you made it to step one, finally. The elderly couple in the forest was poignant and haunting in so many ways amidst beautiful surroundings.

    1. Finally!! The radiation is a start - - but I wish that it started five months ago. It would have saved me a lot of anguish.
If I ever get home, I'll try to find my art book with the original painting. It's much better than my recreation.
